Home is more than a place.
Lateefat Tobun is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores home, memory, belonging and cultural inheritance, particularly how these are carried, transformed and reconstructed through migration and cultural transition.
Working primarily through painting, her practice extends through textile, African print and pattern, selected digital processes and participatory art. Across these forms, she is interested in what remains with us as places, circumstances and identities change.

Are you open to collaborations and exhibitions?
Yes. I am open to exhibition opportunities, artist residencies, curatorial collaborations, public art projects and selected interdisciplinary or participatory projects. I welcome conversations with galleries, curators, arts organisations and other practitioners where there is a meaningful connection with my practice.
How does the commission process work?
I accept selected commissions where there is a meaningful connection with my practice. The process begins with a conversation about the idea, context, scale and timeframe. From there, I develop an approach that responds to the project while remaining connected to my artistic language and practice.
Do you offer workshops for schools and organisations?
Yes. I develop participatory art workshops for schools, community groups and organisations. Sessions can explore colour, painting, pattern and creative expression, and can be shaped around the needs and context of each group. Please get in touch to discuss your project, participants and proposed dates.
