Community-centred art created to inspire connection, resilience and collective wellbeing
Stronger Together, a community mural in Bradford, was created to highlight the importance of mental health, unity and shared strength. Designed by multidisciplinary artist Ruth Agbolade and collaboratively painted with Molly Harris and me, the mural brings colour, hope, and a reminder that no one has to face life’s challenges alone. My contribution to the piece reflects my practice as a visual and digital artist, bringing a fresh perspective to the storytelling and composition of the wall. Working alongside the team and the community groups who shaped the concept allowed the mural to become more than an artwork. It became a shared voice. This project is part of the Healthy Minds Untold Stories initiative, which supports creative expressions of lived experiences across Bradford. The mural stands as a testament to what can happen when art, community and care come together: a public space transformed into a message of healing, hope and collective strength.

Healing Through Community
The mural stands as a reminder that healing is never a solitary journey. We are, truly, stronger together and through art, we open space for honest conversations, challenge stigma, and nurture environments where collective care can grow and flourish.
